Each material used in Alessio Ravaioli products has been carefully selected by our team. Please handle with care for longer product life.

Irregularities and variations in shades are due to the fact that leather is a natural material and are intended as an added value of uniqueness and authenticity.

To mantein the original condition, we recommend you to avoid direct and over-exposure to light and to avoid contact with cosmetics,water or heat. If your items is composed of suede or nubuck leather, friction may slightly alter the color, to clean it you can use a special eraser.

Fill the bag with tissue paper to maintain its shape and absorb moisture – store it in the appropriate flannel case

The panels must be carefully stored so that they do not take on abnormal folds, it is advisable to store them flat.

Leather care

Alessio Ravaioli bags are made in Italy using only the finest materials. We have chosen not to use exotic leathers (CITES) but we only work with what is waste from the food industry. The aesthetic effects that replicate exotic leathers (crocodile, alligator, python, lizard) are obtained through printing techniques. Each leather is unique: color differences or vein marks may appear and are natural characteristics. This increases the appeal of this luxury leather item.

At Alessio Ravaioli we use various types of leather depending on the model of the bag: its care is therefore slightly different for each item. We list below the main materials and their characteristics.

SMOOTH CALFSKIN

Calfskin, being a material of naturally smooth grain surface, can be easily exposed to marks and scratches. It is necessary to pay extra care during the wearing and the storage. In case your bag get scratched, massage her with a dry cloth doing circular moves, in order to contain the damage. If the scratch had ruined leather’s protective finish, and so your bag had lost color in that area, you can fix it with a polish of the same bag’s colour: before moving forward with this procedure, we highly recommend you to reach us out on customer@alessioravaioli.com , or see a leather specialist.

If your bag only had marked and not scratched, you can delicately try to remove the stain with an eraser or a mild, delicate make up remover.

Consider that the care process of your bag can change according to the colour you chose. Dark colours are less delicate then bright, clear colours.

Even if our smooth calfskin is processed with a finish that makes her waterproof, always be sure to keep your bag away from liquids and materials that could damage or stain her skin.

SANDED CALFSKIN

Sanded calfskin is renown to have an extremely soft touch. It is less delicate then smooth calfskin – it is less subjected to be marked and scratched, thanks to its particular bicolor pattern and its tenderness. Being really soft, pay attention to not loading your bag too much, not to deform her structure. Even if our sanded calfskin is processed with a finish that makes her waterproof, always be sure to keep your bag away from liquids and materials that could damage or stain her skin.

Warnings: returns will not be accepted due to chromatic discrepancies on bags made with this type of leather, as the chromatic variety is a natural characteristic of this material, and is not to be considered a defect.

SUEDE

Suede leather it’s practical because its particular appearance prevents the formation of marks and protects the bag from scratches. To be sure that your bag always has a clean and tidy look, take care of her with a brush of super smooth bristles, following the direction of the hair.

HAMMERED CALFSKIN

Hammered calfskin is distinguished for being really smooth and durable, and for letting the colours be intense and luminous.

Being really soft, pay attention to not loading your bag too much, not to deform her structure.

LAMINATED CALFSKIN

Laminated calfskin is conformed by a first layer of skin topped by a particular metallic lamina, which gives the leather its bright, tinny colour. The lamina, to let the under layer be smooth and to let it show its features, has to be really subtle.

Pay extra care to protect your bag from bag from scratches.
